Big Brothers Big Sisters ‘Chocolate, Champagne, and Chefs’ fundraiser, Oct. 27

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Indian River County is pleased to announce the presentation of its sixth annual award for philanthropy to Indian River Community Foundation, at their Chocolate, Champagne and Chefs event to be held on Monday night Oct.27, at 6 p.m.

The fund raiser, to be held at the Quail Valley River Club, promises to be both elegant and fun. The event will include an elegant seated dinner, Champagne and, of course, decadent chocolate dessert samples provided by six prominent chefs from our area.

This year’s chefs are: Chef Robert Angel – Quail Valley River Club, Chef Chris Bireley – Osceola Bistro, Chef Tim Blouin – Grand Harbor Club, Chef Stephane Becht – Windsor Club, Chef Scott Varricchio – Citrus Grillhouse, and Chef Adrienne Drew – Catering by Adrienne Drew.

There will be an exciting raffle with a chance to win a $1,500 Publix gift card, gift certificate to La Classique Jeweler, Long Island Wine basket and many more items. The live auction will feature exciting dinner excursions, two handcrafted art pieces by Glenda Taylor, owner of the Tiger Lily Gallery in Vero Beach, a wonderful opportunity to make a special Christmas for some of our Big Brothers Big Sisters “littles” and a few other surprises.

All funds raised at this event will support Big Brothers Big Sisters reading program as well as the “Children of Promise” program, which matches responsible adult mentors with children of incarcerated parents.
