INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Voters are encouraged to check their voter registration status in preparation for the Aug. 26 Primary Election, including their address and party affiliation.
Any new registrations or party changes must be made on or before July 28th when the voter registration books close for the Primary Election.
Voters can verify their registration status on the Supervisor of Elections website at www.voteindianriver.com.
With the “Am I Registered?” function, a voter can verify if they are a registered voter in Indian River County, as well as their address of record, party affiliation, polling location information and voting districts.
Voters may also view a picture of their Election Day polling site and driving directions furnished by Google Maps.
Florida holds closed Primary Elections, which means that voters must be registered as a member of the party in whose primary they wish to vote. All voters, regardless of party affiliation, may vote for nonpartisan races, such as School Board candidates, in a Primary Election.
To request an absentee ballot, visit the website or call the Elections office at (772) 226-3440. Voters can track the status of their absentee ballot on the Elections office website by clicking “Track My Absentee Ballot.”
Once securely logged in, the voter can check their absentee ballot status, including the date the ballot was requested, the date it was mailed, and date the voted ballot was received back at the Elections Office.
