Qualifying period for countywide, special district elections begins June 16

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The official qualifying period for all countywide and special district candidates begins at Noon June 16, and runs through Noon June 20.

Qualifying papers are only accepted during the qualifying period at the Indian River County Supervisor of Elections Office, any time during normal business hours.

Candidates for the following offices qualify with the Indian River County Supervisor of Elections office during the June qualifying period: County Commissioner and School Board candidates, and all special district candidates.

Candidates may either qualify by collecting petitions, paying a qualifying fee, or by running as a write-in candidate, as well as submitting the required paperwork.
