Genealogy Interest Groups topic of May 13 meeting

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — “Staying Focused, Avoiding the Traps and Lessons Learned” will be the topic of discussion from the Genealogical Interest Group during the Indian River Genealogical Society’s May 13 meeting.

IRGS has historically had great success when its own members present the monthly program and May will be no exception. On May 13, the “Genealogy Interest Groups” will bring everyone up to date on their activities for 2013-2014. Sharing is a proven means to learn in a fun and supportive manner.

This forum will help the entire Society and our guests better appreciate how the groups focus on certain aspects of research, what helps them manage research dilemmas and also gain other useful lessons.

All of this will come from the vantage of our own small group dialogs. The Society members who will give presentations are in the German, Family Tree Maker, Swedish, Writing, Irish, Polish and the Book Publishing GIGs. Come and join us for a fun exchange of genealogical information.

The IRGS meets at 9:30 a.m. on the second Tuesday, September through May, in the large first floor conference room of the Indian River County Main Library, 1600 21st Street, Vero Beach.

This and all general meetings of the IRGS are free and open to the public.

Refreshments will be served.
