INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Indian River Habitat for Humanity is pleased to announce its first ever Rock The Block (Around The Clock) event. This momentous undertaking will focus on providing change within the Gifford Community. This March, more than 12 homes will undergo painting, landscaping and minor repairs throughout the month, creating noticeable change and increasing momentum for IRHFH’s Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative (NRI) program.
An undertaking of this magnitude will require a lot of help from the Indian River County community in the form of financial sponsorship, volunteer engagement and donations of food for meals and snacks. The lead sponsorship is being offered at $15,000; individual homes can be sponsored for $2,000.
Please contact Peggy at 562-9860 x 209 for more info. If you would like to involve your church or civic group in volunteer efforts or would like to underwrite the cost of a meal, please call LaKisha at x 211.
Rock the Block will kick off on March 1 at 8 a.m. Mini-celebrations will be held each Saturday and a Block Party and Celebration is scheduled to begin on April 5 at 11 a.m.
