John Moxon, 75, of Vero Beach passed away on Jan. 22, 2014.
He is survived by his daughters Rosamond O’Connor (John), Elizabeth Jensen (Christian), Alma Eisenacher (Mark); son John Frederic Moxon; grandchildren, Jack, Lily, Michaela, Dorothy, and Luke. He is also survived by his former wife and mother of his children, Elizabeth (Ping) Chiang; long-time companion, Jane Smith; and sister, Dr. Fredericka Heller.
Born in Elizabeth, N.J., Moxon was the son of John William Moxon and Fredericka Rosamond Sawyer Moxon. He graduated from The Hill School and Dartmouth College, Class of 1961. He was a member of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity.
Following graduation, Moxon served in the United States Navy for six years with the final rank of lieutenant. For his service with Taiwan Defense Command he was awarded the Joint Service Commendation.
Following Naval service he worked for Morgan Guaranty Trust Company of New York, finally as a vice president. He served as a trustee for Stuart Country Day School of the Sacred Heart and the Washington Crossing Foundation.
He also, as an elected Republican, sat on the Yardley Borough Council. In retirement he ran the family farm in Pennsylvania as a bed and breakfast and was an active member of Hammer and Tongs.
