UPDATE: Vero Beach Police investigating shooting at 7-Eleven

VERO BEACH — Vero Beach Police are investigating a shooting that took place Tuesday at 12:51 a.m., according to the Vero Beach Police Department. One person suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound and was treated at the emergency room.

It reportedly started inside the 7-Eleven at Royal Palm Boulevard and US 1 and then reignited outside the store, according to authorities.

The altercation was between one individual and several others, according to John Morrison, of the Vero Beach Police Department. Four to six were said to be involved. Shots were fired when the group was walking across the front of the parking lot.

“You can see people duck,” said Morrison, when talking about the 7-Eleven surveillance footage.

This is an active investigation, no arrested have been made, according to police.
