VERO BEACH — Have you ever wondered how the artists get selected for the Under the Oaks Fine Arts and Crafts Show?
Under the Oaks, put on by the Vero Beach Art Club each March, is the largest cultural event in Indian River County. The Vero Beach Art Club is again offering the public an opportunity to witness the selection process. Images of applicant artists’ work and booth will be viewed and voted upon by the jury.
This is an excellent opportunity for artists interested in participating in high level, competitive shows to get a close up, personal view of the process and quality of application required.
This event, a fundraiser for the Art Club, will be both a fun and informative day for the public and an opportunity for some lucky attendee to win two tickets to the 2014 Under the Oaks Artists’ Award Banquet.
The full day jury event will be held on Monday, Dec. 16, from 9 a.m. to approximately 4 p.m. at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott, located at 5115 Indian River Blvd. in Vero Beach, where the continental breakfast and lunch will be served.
Entry is $25. The deadline to sign up and pay is Nov. 30 at the Art Club office in the Vero Beach Museum of Art.
Because of the nature of this event, tickets will be limited and sold on a first come first served basis.
