Riverside’s Distinguished Lecturer Series tickets still available

VERO BEACH — Tickets for the Stark Main Stage are sold out for the 16th season of Riverside Theatre’s Distinguished Lecturer Series; however, a limited number of tickets still remain for the Waxlax simulcast, located right next to the Stark.

Ticket sales were brisk due to the first speaker on Feb. 3, 2014: President George W. Bush.

Only season subscriptions for all four lectures are available for 2014 and are available for only $200 per person in the Waxlax. Waxlax ticket holders will be given preference for the Stark for subsequent seasons as seats become available.

The remaining three guest lecturers are also quite distinguished and promise to be equally interesting and entertaining:

Feb. 24, 2014: Dr. Robert Scales, retired Army Major General

A respected authority on land warfare, this decorated war hero is considered to be one of the most forward-thinking military strategists on contemporary and future warfare.

March 17, 2014: Leon Panetta, former Secretary of Defense and former C.I.A. Director

Mr. Panetta will share insights into the withdrawal of troops from Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as the operation to bring Osama bin Laden to justice.

March 31, 2014: Robert D. Kaplan, Geopolitical Analyst

This international, military affairs and China expert, known for his provocative insights, will discuss current tensions in the Far East.

There are two lecture times for each date, at 3 and 5:30 p.m. for the Feb. 3 lecture, and at 4 and 6 p.m. for the remaining three lectures.

Each lecture ends with a Q&A segment, and attendees are encouraged to submit questions in advance through the Distinguished Lecturer Series dedicated website: www.RiversideLecturerSeries.com.
