Flora Belle (Flo) Clement, 96, Vero Beach

Flora Belle (Flo) Clement, 96, died Nov. 8, 2013.

A native Floridian, Flo was born in Brooker in 1917.

She grew up in Arcadia where she met Ray Clement, her husband of 69 years.

They had three children: Larry, Doug and Constance, who were raised in Miami.

Upon retirement, Flo and Ray moved to their beloved summer home in Lake Placid and later relocated to Vero Beach.

She was a charter member of the Miami Shore Baptist Church where she was active in the choir and was frequently a soloist.

Flo was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; her son, Larry (Martha); and her two sisters and one brother, Estelle, Freddie and Lamar.

Survivors include her children, Doug (Anne) and Constance; four grandchildren, Laura Pittman (Matt), Ken Clement, Dale Clement and Carolyn Fedeli (Frank); and five great grandchildren.

 A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 23rd at 11 a.m. at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach, with Reverend Tracy Claytor, First Baptist Church, officiating.

In recognition of the importance of the Hospice caregivers in Flo’s life, the family asks that any memorial contributions be made to: VNA Hospice, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, Fl. 32960 in memory of Flo Clement.
