VERO BEACH — Our last event generated, in the state of Florida, over 10,000 pounds (5 tons) of unwanted or expired medication. This is a significant amount of medication out of the wrong hands and out of our environment.
Let’s keep it up and bring those medications to one of our many locations listed below on Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Do bring unused or expired prescriptions and over the counter medication to one of the locations listed for proper disposal.
Do lock up all medications and keep away from children and teens.
Don’t flush medication down the toilet; it is a danger to our environment.
Don’t bring needles or other sharp instruments; they cannot be accepted. Instead, take them to the Health Department at 1900 27th St.
