Indian River County man, 42, accused of having child porn

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A south Indian River County man has been arrested, accused of having photos and videos of child pornography.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement Orlando Regional Operations Center Fort Pierce Field Office, with assistance from the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office and Department of Homeland Security, arrested Benjamin Murray, 42, of Vero Beach, on 10 counts of possession of videos depicting the sexual exploitation of children and pornography with sexual performance of a child.

On Oct. 15, agents served a search warrant at Murray’s residence, 4003 1st Street SW, Vero Beach, and located numerous digital videos of child pornography and photographs.

Murray was booked into the Indian River County Jail and is being held in lieu of $200,000 bail.

The investigation will be prosecuted jointly by the Office of Statewide Prosecution and Office of the State Attorney, 19th Judicial Circuit.
