Riverside Children’s Theatre presents Spooktacular

VERO BEACH — Riverside Children’s Theatre (RCT) reinvents its popular Halloween experience with the brand new Spooktacular. An event for the whole family, the theme is based on the Washington Irving story, the Legend of Sleepy Hollow, with the centerpiece an exciting new musical, Sleepy Hollow, A Musical Tale.

The event will take place on Oct. 18-19 and 25-26 at the Agnes Wahlstrom Youth Playhouse, 3280 Riverside Park Dr. in Vero Beach.

Attendees can travel through the Riverside woods in an interactive maze that takes them back to 18th century New Amsterdam, NY, winding through the roots of the infamous Tree of the Dead.

To complete the visit back in time, games and activities in the vein of a town fair will provide plenty of treats and a variety of carnival booths for all ages. Less scary adventures are offered each night prior to 7 p.m. Once it gets dark, the Spooktacular scare factor is increased for some hair raising good times.

Sleepy Hollow, A Musical Tale, will be presented two times each evening as part of the Spooktacular event. The show features a trio of present day children who are mysteriously transported back in time to a village that is reeling from rumors of a headless horseman, much like participants of our own RCT Spooktacular.

The Spooktacular is open from 6-9:30 p.m. on Fridays and 5-9:30 p.m. on Saturdays. Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door.

Please call the theatre box office at (772) 231-6990 or visit the website at www.RiversideTheatre.com for Sleepy Hollow show times.

RCT’s Halloween Spooktacular is part of Fright Nights Vero Beach.
