VERO BEACH — It’s time to get In The Ruff. The 5th annual event benefits H.A.L.O. Rescue and Stray No More, Inc. and will be held once again at the beautiful Indian River Club in Vero Beach on Friday, Oct. 4, and Saturday, Oct. 5.
Kicking off the tournament will be a Friday night poolside cocktail party, silent auction, and door prizes beginning at 6:30 p.m. Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served throughout the evening, along with a cash bar.
At 7 p.m., there will be a police K-9 demonstration, and if you have never seen one, you are missing quite an impressive exhibition of talent and teeth.
Saturday morning, Oct. 5, the golf tournament begins with a continental breakfast and registration at 8 a.m. Tournament format is a four man scramble teeing off at 9 a.m., followed by an all you can eat barbeque. Entry fee is $100 per player.
Reservations are required for the cocktail party and golf tournament, so be sure to RSVP asap.
The public is invited to attend the on-site adoption event featuring pets of all shapes and sizes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Sponsors, players, auction item donors, and volunteers are encouraged to participate. Multiple levels of sponsorship are available, in addition to personalized tee signs for $50. Tee signs may feature a company name, favorite pet’s photo, or other individualized message.
H.A.L.O. Rescue, the only no kill animal shelter in Indian River County, is dedicated to providing a safe haven for abused and abandoned animals waiting to find a new home.
Stray No More, Inc. is a volunteer organization committed to reducing the stray animal population through a low cost spay/neuter program. All profits directly assist animals and residents of Indian River County, and donations are tax deductible.
