VERO BEACH — In August, the Chamber’s Young Professionals Network (YPN) presented a check for $101 to Lorne Coyle, Executive Director for the Homeless Family Center. The funds will provide 140 meals at the center.
The Indian River County Chamber’s YPN provides young professionals aged 21 to 39 with the opportunity to network with one another on a regular basis while receiving valuable information that will help them advance in their careers.
Each month, YPN participants have the opportunity to attend a lunch event featuring a speaker on relevant professional and local topics. The group also offers monthly social activities and quarterly planned community volunteerism activities.
The chamber understands the importance of educating young professionals and providing them with opportunities to establish and build relationships with others in their community.
“In order for the Indian River County business community to continue to flourish, it is important for our young professionals to become actively involved in business and the community,” said Bill Penney, Chairman of the Chamber Board of Directors.
“Encouraging volunteerism, education, and community involvement will help this group make their way to the top,” added Penney.
The Indian River County Chamber of Commerce is a county-wide organization representing the business community by providing services, benefits, and leadership for positive growth and change.
