VERO BEACH — The Senior Resource Association (SRA) has recently completed a renovation of its administrative offices thanks to the contribution of various local businesses.
One of the donated items included new hardwood flooring by Lumber Liquidators, who gave 2,000 square feet valuing close to $4,000.
After learning SRA did not have the budget to install new flooring, local store manager Jeremy Montague reached out to the Lumber Liquidator’s local contractors. Montague helped SRA form a partnership with Edward S. McKenna Inc., a licensed general contractor who has been building and renovating homes on the Treasure Coast since 1989.
Ed McKenna of Edward S. McKenna Inc. had five men from his crew install the flooring in less than 24 hours with the labor valuing $5,400.
Lumber Liquidators also donated the required calcium chloride tests that measure the volume of water vapor that radiates from the concrete slab prior to the flooring being installed.
SRA was also in need of a company to help move the office furniture out of the building before the flooring installation process. Mike Fox, owner of Mr. Small Move Vero Beach, offered to have his crew remove and reinstall the furniture from SRA’s administrative offices, paying his crew $1,500.
JC White also contributed to the renovation by helping to facilitate the donation of four new workstations from Power Financial Credit Union in Juno Beach, FL.
JC White also delivered and installed the furniture free of charge.
