VERO BEACH — Are your children interested in playing summer basketball? The Indian River County Recreation Department has begun taking registrations for the 2013 summer basketball.
We will only honor the first five requests per team. Season will start the week of June 17 and games will be played on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
This co-ed league is designed to teach the fundamentals of basketball, sportsmanship, discipline, and most importantly, fun.
We encourage all kids ages 4-15 to participate this season. Player fees are $35; sponsor fees are $150.
Birth certificates are required at time of registration.
Teams will be separated by age divisions:
Tot time: 4-5 yrs. old
Mighty mite: 6-8 yrs. old
Midgets: 9-10 yrs. old
Juniors: 11-12 yrs. old
Seniors: 13-15 yrs. old
Playing age must be reached by Aug. 31.
Coaches, officials, and sponsors are needed for all age groups.
Sign up at the County Administration Building or North County Aquatic Center between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.
