VB Museum of Art offers free admission program

VERO BEACH — The Vero Beach Museum of Art announced the launch of Blue Star Museums, a partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and more than 1,800 museums across America to offer free admission to all active duty military personnel with ID and family members through Labor Day 2013.

Leadership support has been provided by MetLife Foundation through Blue Star Families. The complete list of participating Blue Star Museums is available at www.Arts.gov/BlueStarMuseums.org.

Through this distinctive collaboration between Blue Star Families, the National Endowment for the Arts, and more than 1,800 museums across the United States, service members and their families can connect with our national treasures with this unparalleled opportunity to visit some of the country’s finest museums for free,” said Blue Star Families CEO Kathy Roth-Douquet.

The Vero Beach Museum of Art is once again participating in the Blue Star Museums initiative until Labor Day, Sept. 2, by offering free admission to active military and up to five of their immediate family members with the presentation of a valid military ID.

VBMA summer hours are: closed Mondays; Open Tues. – Sat. from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and Sun. from 1-4:30 p.m.
