3rd Annual LLS Conquistadores Triathlon

VERO BEACH — On Sunday, May 19, Jaycee Park will host the 3rd Annual LLS Conquistadores Triathlon to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

The oceanfront boardwalk will be an ideal location for families and friends to cheer on the participants at the start of the event with an ocean swim and quickly move on to their bikes for the 20km bike ride on A1A, returning to Jaycee Park to do the last leg of the competition, the 5k, along Ocean Dr.

The event will conclude with the award presentation.

As sprint triathlons go, The LLS Conquistadores Triathlon is a little bit more challenging than your average sprint triathlon, with its 25.5 km distance and its unpredictable ocean swim; nevertheless, this is a great event for first time triathletes with a great cause to support.

The LLS Conquistadores Triathlon is a USAT sanctioned event. Winners qualify for nationals.

Total distance for this race is 25.5K: swim, .5K (.31 mi:) bike, 20K (12.4mi;) run 5K(3.1 mi.)

This Leukemia & Lymphoma Society event is possible only because of the great support that LLS receives from the community, the sponsors, volunteers and government agencies, and, of course, the participants.
