Thomas Lee Butts, 64, died March 29, 2013, at Sebastian River Medical Center in Sebastian.
He was born in Livermore, Calif., and lived in Vero Beach for 54 years, coming from Chesterfield, Va.
Before retirement, he worked as a police officer and was as a property manager.
He was an Air Force veteran.
He was a life member of the VFW.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Joyce W. Butts, of Vero Beach; son, Matthew Scott Butts, of Wesley Chapel; stepson, Calvin Owens, of Sebastian; stepdaughter, Christy Lenz, of Sebastian; sisters, Karen Butts-Carter and Ruth Frick; and two grandchildren.
No services are scheduled at this time.
