VERO BEACH — Youth Guidance introduced its new Executive Director Doug Borrie at a Welcome Reception for over 80 community members and supporters.
The gathering was held at the Bethel Creek House in Vero Beach. Borrie filled the vacancy created in October after an extensive regional search and selection process.
Many long time Youth Guidance supporters, volunteers, and mentors attended the reception. Board Chair Randy Tremblay gave a warm welcoming speech followed by a presentation by Borrie where he discussed some of his plans and expectations for the future of the nonprofit.
Borrie has worked in nonprofit management for more than 20 years, the past 17 years on the Treasure Coast. He holds a Ph.D. in School & Community Psychology from Hofstra University.
The staff and Board of Directors are fortunate and excited to have such a seasoned and talented leader at the helm of Youth Guidance, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.
