Finding a revolutionary patriot

VERO BEACH — By popular demand, Dr. Debbie Duay returns to the Indian River Genealogical Society as guest speaker for the March 12 general meeting.

Using Rootsweb’s World Connect Project, census records, the DAR Patriot Index, FamilySearch, and Google, Dr. Duay will describe methods for “Finding a Revolutionary Patriot.”

Debbie Duay received her Ph.D. in Adult Education from Florida Atlantic University. She has over ten years experience researching and teaching genealogy. Currently, Dr. Duay is the Lineage Research Chairman for the Florida State Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR.) She has helped over 300 people join the DAR and SAR (Sons of the American Revolution.)

The IRGS meets second Tuesdays, September through May, at 9:30 a.m. in the large, first floor conference room of the Indian River County Main Library, 1600 21st St. in Vero Beach.

Everyone interested in family history is encouraged to attend.

All IRGS general meetings are free and open to the public.
