VERO BEACH — The Vero Beach Chamber Orchestra, now in its 5th season, will perform a concert on Sunday, March 3, at 7 p.m. in the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center, located at 1707 16th St.
Musical selections performed will include Pavane, Op. 50 by Faure, St. Paul’s Suite by Holst, and Haydn’s Symphony 100 “Military” directed by Page Howell.
The idea of a community orchestra was conceived in 2007 and took form in the fall of 2008. Their mission is to provide professional and semi-professional adult and student musicians in Indian River County and give neighboring communities an opportunity to play classical symphonic literature at a professional level.
Their expectations are that all musicians will strive to attain a higher level of excellence and hope to make classical music accessible and affordable for everyone in the community.
This concert is free and open to the public.
Donations will be accepted.
Proceeds will benefit Indian River Habitat for Humanity, with the goal to bring people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
