2 school buses involved in separate crashes, no injuries reported

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A few minutes after 8 a.m. Tuesday, a school bus with no children on board was in a crash with a passenger vehicle near 45th Street and Old Dixie Highway, according to the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office.

No information on injuries to the driver of the bus or other vehicle were immediately reported.

A few minutes after the first crash, the mirror of a second school bus was knocked off by an unknown vehicle, which fled the scene, the Sheriff’s Office reported.

This incident occurred near the 4700 block of 33rd Avenue. There were no reported injuries.

Deputies are on the scene of both incidents at this time. The Sheriff’s Office expects to release more information as it becomes available.
