The Tipsy Turtle Run and Festival to benefit Coastal Connections runs from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, April 4, at Sexton Plaza Beach in Vero Beach. This annual family-friendly event raises funds for sea turtle conservation and coastal education initiatives. The Atlantic Classical Orchestra closes its 2026 Masterworks Series with “Themes & Variations” at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 9, at the Community Church of Vero Beach, 1901 23rd St. The evening celebrates musical transformation, opening with Johannes Brahms’ Variations on a Theme by Haydn, followed by Mozart’s Horn Concerto No. 4 in E-flat Major, featuring principal horn player Karen Schubert. After intermission, the orchestra will perform Paul Hindemith’s Symphonic Metamorphosis on Themes by Carl Maria von Weber, a vibrant work reimagining Weber’s piano duets into a sweeping orchestral showcase. Pianist Tao Lin will join Music Director David Amado for excerpts of Weber’s original compositions, offering the audience a fascinating glimpse into musical reinterpretation across time.
