VERO BEACH — On Friday, Jan. 25, the Indian River Symphonic Association will present a concert by the China National Symphonic Orchestra. Its Principal Guest Conductor Maestro En Shao will conduct the orchestra.
A special attraction will be a performance by violin soloist Chuanyun Li. Mr. Li studied at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, and later at the Julliard School of Music under Itzhak Perlman.
The Seattle Times observed that Mr. Li “shared Perlman’s amazing dexterity in untangling virtuoso pieces.”
The evening’s program will include:
Xia Guan – First Movement of Earth Requiem
Sibelius – Violin Concerto in D Minor, Op. 47
Rachmaninoff – Symphony N. 2 in E Minor, Op. 27.
Individual tickets are available for $50.
Tickets for the remaining six concerts of the season series are available for $230 or $260.
All concerts will be presented at the Community Church of Vero Beach and will begin at 7:30 p.m.
