Ribbon cutting of mural slated for Jan. 12

VERO BEACH — You are invited to attend a ribbon cutting of the new six panel mural which was donated by the Vero Beach Art Club to the City of Vero Beach on Jan. 12 from 5-6 p.m.

The City Council, County Commissioners, members of the community who appear in the murals, and VIPs will be invited to the ribbon cutting, presentation, and reception from 5-6 p.m.

The public will also be invited to the reception, which will be held in the Florida Room of the Vero Beach Community Center from 6-7 p.m.

The mural consists of six stretched canvas panels created in the Community Center representing the ecology, tourism assets, marine ecosystems, and the local figures of our community who have been instrumental in developing the area such as Alma Lee Loy and Judge Stikelether.

The three artists who have volunteered thousands of hours to paint these panels are Judy Burgarella, Dawn Mill, and Christine Thomas, who will be attending the ribbon cutting.
