Howard Ellis Hollenbeck, 80, died Dec. 2, 2012, at his home.
He was born in Dundee, Iowa, and lived in Florida for 42 years, coming from Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
He served in the Navy aboard the USS Intrepid from 1952 to 1956 in the Korean War.
He was a member of the Sebastian South Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Shirley Anne (Hite) Hollenbeck, of Sebastian; daughters, Sherry Ellis Hollenbeck and Nancy Stephens, both of Bradenton; sons, Edward Hollenbeck, of Slidell, La., and Howard E. Hollenbeck Jr., of Sebastian; 14 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Hollenbeck; brothers, Leo Hollenbeck, Henry Hollenbeck, Gordon Hollenbeck and David Hollenbeck; and sisters, Margaret Crosby and Arnette Johnson.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Dec. 8 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Sebastian.
