Lawyer John Moore receives legal and ethical distinction

VERO BEACH — John E. Moore, III, a founding partner of the Rossway Moore Swan Attorneys-at-Law, has recently earned the distinction as an AV Preeminent* rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell, based on peer evaluations of his legal ability and ethical standards.

Moore focuses his practice in the areas of estate planning and administration and transactional matters.

A graduate with highest honors from the University of Notre Dame, B.B.A., and later from the University of Virginia, J.D., Moore’s prior experience includes working as a certified public accountant with a Big 8 accounting firm, transactional practice in a large Washington, D.C. law firm, and service as a senior political appointee at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

He is a frequent speaker to continuing legal education and charitable audiences, presenting seminars and keynote addresses throughout the country.

Moore is an active community member of Indian River County, involved currently or in the past as a trustee on the Indian River County Hospital District (Appointed by Gov. Bush, 2003; Elected 2004); as a former member of the Affordable Housing Advisory Commission to the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners, and the Vero Beach Museum of the Arts, Finance Committee.

He was a Director for The Riverside Theatre, The Education Foundation of Indian River County, The Visiting Nurse Association/Hospice of the Treasure Coast, and the Indian River Medical Center Foundation. Moore has been active in The Holy Cross Catholic Church Community Service Ministry and was a campaign co-chair with wife, Lee, for The United Way of Indian River County, as well as serving as a past Director.

His professional associations include The Florida Bar, Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section, District of Columbia Bar, Indian River County Bar Association, and Republican National Lawyers Association.

He is the recipient of a wide array of awards and recognitions.
