Wild Sebastian 100 Trail Run in Fellsmere on Nov. 10 and 11

FELLSMERE — How far can you run?

On November 10 and 11, over eighty runners from twelve states and three countries will descend upon the beautiful St. Sebastian River Preserve State Park in Fellsmere to participate in the Wild Sebastian 100 Trail Run.

This Ultra-Marathon Trail Run, put on by the Florida Outdoor Center, is a great opportunity for runners who want to step it up from shorter events and try out their stamina at the Ultra Distances, as well as for those training for long distance events.

The course is laid out as a twenty-five mile loop. Therefore, runners can choose to compete in twenty-five, fifty, seventy-five, and one hundred mile divisions. All runners, regardless of distance, have thirty-two hours to complete the course.

Aid stations and checkpoints throughout will be staffed and offer full food service, simple first aid supplies, phone/radio contact, and a drop point for personal gear. The course will be marked during the day with arrows and marking tape. For night time navigation, LED lights will be added to aid the runners.

Race headquarters is at the Visitor Center of the St. Sebastian River Preserve State Park off of CR507/Babcock in Fellsmere.

Volunteers are needed. Spectators are welcome.
