INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Soup Bowl fundraising event will be held Thursday, November 1, at participating locations throughout the county from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for the lunch sites and 4:30-6:30 p.m. for the evening sites throughout Indian River County.
The soup, donated by over 80 restaurants, is served at 15 places of worship; soup is also supplied by 20+ businesses who serve at their location. Soup Bowl at Home events are individual, private gatherings which also receive bowls if the supply lasts.
The Samaritan Center, a long term facility for homeless families with dependent children in Indian River County, geared up for their Soup Bowl fundraising event with the Samaritan Center Soup Bowl workshop held at the Vero Beach Museum of Art.
Artisans produced 1300+ handmade bowls that will be sold for $10 along with four beautiful soup tureens to be raffled for $1 tickets.
Tureen tickets are currently available at Tiger Lily Art Studios 1903 14th Ave. in Vero Beach. The drawing will be held at Tiger Lily Art Studios & Gallery on Friday, November 2, at 8 p.m.
The Samaritan Center is a program of Catholic charities and is a United Way agency.
