VERO BEACH — The Vero Beach High School Orchestra department presents their fall orchestra concert “Mostly Mozart” on Tuesday, November 6, at 7:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center, 1707 16th St.
Enjoy an evening of beautiful classical music as the Vero Beach High School Orchestras hold their season opening performance. Compositions of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart will be featured, including overtures and Symphony No. 25 and No. 29.
The Vero Beach High School Philharmonic Orchestra will perform Sinfonia No. 10, in b minor, by Felix Mendelssohn.
The Gifford Middle School Orchestras will also display their newly acquired talents at this concert.
Mozart, born in Salzburg, was a child prodigy who grew into one of the most famous musicians of all time. He produced over six hundred works in his short lifetime, including concertos, operas, symphonies, and sonatas.
Deemed a genius, Mozart’s music contains patterns that the human brain appreciates and responds to by furthering cognitive development. His innovations and the tremendous range of emotions conveyed through his music have earned him an iconic position in history.
The orchestras will perform music from throughout Mozart’s life. Pieces he wrote as a young child, a teenager, and even music he was composing at the time of his death, at the tender age of 35.
All seating is reserved at $15 orchestra level and $10 mezzanine level.
