Indian River Charter High School to perform “Blood Relations”

VERO BEACH — Lies, truth, family conflict, a unique opportunity for high school students and…an axe?

This Halloween weekend, Oct. 31–Nov. 4, Indian River Charter High School will perform the suspenseful psychodrama/ murder-mystery “Blood Relations” based on the iconic story of Lizzie Borden.

Students will not only have the opportunity to perform a uniquely challenging piece, but will also be performing for a special guest. The writer of “Blood Relations,” popular Canadian playwright Sharon Pollock, will be traveling to Vero Beach to watch the production.

“Blood Relations,” Pollock’s most popular play, retells this classic murder-mystery with chilling insight into responsibility, truth, and lies.

This psychodrama blends Lizzie’s memories with actual accounts of the murders and takes the audience through a suspenseful story that questions the difference between truth and lies, memory and reality.

Due to the suspenseful nature of this piece, children under the age of 13 will not be admitted.

“Blood Relations” will be performed at Indian River Charter High School Oct. 31-Nov. 4 at 8 p.m.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online at www.IRCHSOnline.org by clicking on the “tickets” tab.
