Early voting begins, Sebastian residents get new early polling place

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Early voting opened at 7 a.m. Saturday and runs through November 3, with polls open from 7 a.m. through 7 p.m. daily, including Sundays.

For the first time during the August primaries, more people in Indian River County voted early than on election day, and Supervisor of Elections Leslie Swan is encouraging voters to vote early this time, since the Nov. 6 ballot is long and complicated.

Swan has announced the opening of a new early voting location in the north county at Sebastian City Hall, 1225 Main Street, in the council chambers.

In addition to the Sebastian location, registered voters can cast an early ballot at the Supervisor of Elections office, 4375 43rd Ave. and at the Main Indian River County Library, 1600 21st Street, Vero Beach.
