ORCHID — The Town of Orchid holds elections every two years at which time voters elect either two or three members of the 5-member Council. The next election cycle for the Orchid Town Council will be Nov. 6. At that time two seats will become open.
The open seats are those of Mayor Richard Dunlop and Councilman William “Bill” Troxell.
The rest of the council consists of members Francis “Bud” Oatway, Paul Johnson, and Harris F. Webber.
To run for an open seat on the Town of Orchid Town Council, a candidate must be a resident of the Town and a registered voter in the State of Florida.
