CAMERA: Getty Images ramping up photography for Olympics

I’ve covered high school, college, and some minor league baseball for around a decade and quite frankly the shots are in two categories: emotional reaction/action shots.

But, Getty Images has taken the next step in still photography when covering the Olympics.

Jonathan Klein, co-founder & CEO, Getty Images recently discussed what they had planned, including 3-D and a more adventurous placement of cameras including some small helicopters with cameras.

I’m usually game for trying anything once. I’m still not sold on the 3-D craze, I think the technology still isn’t there. I am glad they’re trying new things and can’t wait to see the coverage.
