Robert Lewis “Bob” Sligh, 84, Vero Beach

Robert Lewis “Bob” Sligh, 84, died May 21, 2012.

He was born in Grand Rapids, Mich., and was a lifelong resident of Holland, Mich., and winter resident of Vero Beach.

He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan.

He served as an intelligence officer in the Air Force for two years.

He retired as CEO of Sligh Furniture Co.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Holland.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Lois Sligh; sons, Rob Sligh, of High Point, N.C., and John Sligh, of Eden Prairie, Minn.; daughter, Barb Sligh Donati, of Louisburg, N.C.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

An open memorial celebration will be at the Macatawa Bay Yacht Club in late summer.
