Dr. Arthur C. Quackenbush, 89, died April 2, 2012, in Vero Beach.
He was born in Pearl River, N.Y., and lived in Vero Beach.
He was a Navy pilot who served in World War II and the Korean War.
He served as a physician at St. Albans Hospital.
He was a longtime family physician in Bay Shore, N.Y.
He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1947 and Harvard Medical School in 1951.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly; daughters, Diane Majtan, Gail Quackenbush, Peggy Maguire and Alison Coccari; sons, Brian and Michael Quackenbush; brother, Joseph; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher, in 2001.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice House at 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960, or the Jacob Marley Foundation at 47 Guilford Road, Port Washington, N.Y. 11050.
Private services will be conducted in Vero Beach and this summer in Bay Shore.
