VERO BEACH — Return to the rocking disco beat of the 1970s as Theatre-Go-Round kicks it up a notch with its all-new dinner theatre production of “Disco Divas.” In addition to the popular three course prix fixe dinner and live musical revue, the Theatre-Go-Round cast and crew will turn the Elks Lodge at 1350 26th St. in Vero Beach into a dance party from that iconic decade.
So put on your platform dancing shoes and your best polyester leisure suits and get ready to hit the dance floor.
Who could possibly sit still through an evening of highlights from the undisputed “Queens of Disco” such as Tina Turner, Donna Summer, Bette Midler, Gloria Gaynor, Yvonne Elliman and Cher, not to mention the sounds of ABBA?
Cast veterans Eleanor Dixon, Beth McKenzie-Shestak and Shamara Turner will encourage you to “get down and boogie” on the dance floor as they bring back such hits as “Disco Inferno,” “If I Could Turn Back Time,” “I Will Survive,” “If I Can’t Have You,” “Mamma Mia,” “Dancing Queen,” “Take a Chance on Me,” “The Rose,” and “Last Dance,” just to name a few of the 30 songs featured.
Before the ladies pump up the jam, dining room director Tim Shestak and Blessings Bistro return to cater the dinner, which will include a tossed salad with Catalina dressing; roll and butter; entrée choice of raspberry chicken breast or citrus salmon; rice pilaf; green bean-stuffed carrots; chocolate drizzled cheesecake and decaffeinated coffee.
A self-serve, a la carte cash bar is available throughout the evening for sodas, beer, wine and cocktails. The all-inclusive dinner theatre package of only $45 per person includes dinner, show, tax, and dinner service gratuities. Groups of 16 or more receive a $5 discount per person.
Four fast-paced performances of “Disco Divas” will be presented on Sundays; Feb. 26, March 4, 11 & 18. Doors will be open for seating and cocktails at 4:30 p.m., with food service beginning at 4:50 p.m. and the show at 6 p.m.
