The weekend of February 9 – 13, five local businesses will roll out the red carpet, uncork the wine bottles and present their finest fare to benefit one of the areas worthy charities, Hibiscus Children’s Center.
The festivities begin on Thursday, February 9, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. as Northern Trust
(Beachland Blvd. and A1A) rolls out the red carpet for “A Taste” of Wine & Dine. This wine tasting party will feature Catering by Adrienne Drew and expertly paired wines by wine sponsor Rob Wayne from Crown Wine and Spirits, guest favors and raffle prizes. Advanced tickets are $45.
The limited seating, private Wine & Dines begin on Friday, February 10, as Regency Park will present their six-course Continental Wine Dinner with Sommelier Steven Hornberger pairing the wines. Kollette Koch, outreach coordinator at Regency is excited about the event and promises a couple of surprises and a special gift for guests.
On Sunday, February 12 Jerry Maher along with Rhett Palmer will be hosting an Italian five-course dinner at Dockside.
If you’ve been wondering where former Vero Beach Chef David Rodriguez has been, you’ll be able to attend his “Night in Seville” on Sunday, February 12. He’s planning a very special gourmet dinner paired with Spanish wines at his new restaurant Cork and Tapas.
Finally, Chris Bireley Chef/Owner of Osceola Bistro with wine sponsor Fred Peterson with Southern Wine and Spirits will be featuring a Sweethearts Wine Dinner…Alfresco on Monday, February 13.
“In addition to the wine dinners at the public venues, there will be wine dinners generously hosted at eight private homes.”
Each of these Wine Dinners are $150 per person and “100% of the ticket price goes directly to HCC,” commented co-chairs Amy Patterson and Roni Fuster. “We are so grateful for the giving spirit of these HCC friends who will be sharing Good Food, Good Wine and Good Company for the benefit of the kids living at Hibiscus.”
Seats are limited for the dinners and tickets are required for “A Taste” of Wine & Dine.
