Charlotte Terry helps plan Haiti Partners fundraising events

VERO BEACH – Charlotte Terry, one of ten star dancers in this season’s Dancing with Vero’s Stars to benefit the Indian River County Healthy Start Coalition, is also the board president of the Laura (Riding) Jackson Foundation and an advisory board member of the Vero Beach based non-profit Haiti Partners where she is helping to organize two fundraising events for the organizations.

Terry is one of a group visiting Haiti to purchase Haitian art for a Friday, Feb. 10 Silent Auction and Dinner, 6:30 p.m. at the Community Church in Vero Beach, to benefit Haiti Partners which focuses on education in Haiti.

Terry is also helping to organize an event at The Emerson Center for Saturday, March 24 at 4 p.m. The Laura (Riding) Jackson Foundation and Haiti Partners will present words of new hope for Haiti through the voices of renowned author and Haitian expert, Edwidge Danticat, and local author Kent Annan. A reception to meet the authors, purchase books and Haitian arts and crafts will follow.

That event will be sponsored by the Laura (Riding) Jackson Foundation in partnership with Haiti Partners and the Emerson Center. Charlotte Terry and Jonathan Chan recently visited the Emerson Center to plan the Haiti Author event. Joining them were Don Croteau of the Emerson Center and Charlotte’s brother, actor John Terry, most recently of ABC’s hit series Lost.
