Taste of Vero Oceanside is back by popular demand

VERO BEACH — Stroll Ocean Drive while sampling sumptuous fare from Vero’s finest restaurants, and enjoying live music at Taste of Vero, hosted by the Oceanside Business Association, 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12. A portion of all proceeds will benefit the Children’s Home Society.

Nineteen restaurants are participating, offering varied menu items including American, Italian, Asian Fusion, German and Cuban, vegetarian, seafood and more.

Live music will entertain you in three locations, featuring the Barber Bridge Band, Trevor Klutz, and MacKenzie Cappelen.

Two awards will be given following the event: the People’s Choice for Outstanding Fare, and People’s Choice for Best Themed Booth.

Tickets are limited, and are $35 for one; $65 for two.

Another family-fun event planned this year was canceled because of COVID-19 public health concerns. Plans for the 36th Annual Vero Beach Christmas Parade, scheduled for Dec. 5, have been shut down, according to Vero Beach city officials and the Oceanside Business Association.
