Rosanna Sullivan Dancy, 84, died Sept. 6, 2011, at Osceola Regional Medical Center in Kissimmee.
She was born in Peru, Ind., and lived in Indian River County for 65 years, coming from her birthplace.
She was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Vero Beach, Vero Beach Chapter 135 Order of Eastern Star, United Daughters of the Confederacy and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She worked for more than 25 years for the Indian River County School District, retiring in 1994.
Survivors include her son, Edward Champion Dancy III, of Sebastian; daughters, Mary Ruth Dancy, of Rangely, Colo., and Carol Dancy Conner, of St. Simons, Ga.; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Champion Dancy Jr.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sept. 18 at Strunk Funeral Home in Vero Beach with an Eastern Star Service at 4:30 p.m.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Sept. 19 at First United Methodist Church, Vero Beach, with the Rev. Richard Flick officiating.
Interment will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach.
