Julian Lavon Davis, 69, of Vero Beach, died Monday, June 20, 2011, at VNA Hospice House.
He was born Dec. 20, 1941, in Johnston, S.C., and had been a resident of Vero Beach since 1958, coming from his birthplace.
Lavon owned and operated JL Davis Mowing and Grading.
He was a member of the Vero Beach Masonic Lodge 250 F&AM and was a 32nd degree mason.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Louise Davis, of Vero Beach; two daughters, Jodi Velde, of Vero Beach and Jill Davis, of Vero Beach; sister, Ann Miller, of Jacksonville; brother, Avery Davis, of Atlanta, Ga.; and two grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his father and mother Julian and Fredie Elizabeth Davis.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the First Church of God, Vero Beach with a reception to follow in the church.
