Edwin C. “Ed” Schalm, 72, died May 26, 2011 at Sebastian River Medical Center, Sebastian.
He was born in Mount Clemens, Mich., and lived in Sebastian for 33 years, coming from his birthplace.
He was the manager for Alpha Tool and True Value Hardware Stores, both located in Sebastian.
He attended Crossroads Christian Fellowship, Sebastian and All Nations Ministries.
He served on the City Council in Fellsmere.
He was a former member of the Lions Club, Sebastian.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Sharon Schalm, of Sebastian; sons, Jeff (Val) Green and Mike (Kelly) Green, both of Sebastian; brother, Dan Schalm, of Mount Clemens, Mich.; sister, Mary Bressie, of Chesterfield Township, Mich.; grandchildren, Elisha and Josiah, of Sebastian.
Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. on June 2, 2011, at Crossroads Christian Fellowship, Sebastian followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m. with Pastor Michael Lyle, officiating.
