James T. Franklin Jr., 89, of Sebastian, died Monday, May 16, 2011, in Melbourne.
Franklin was born in Harveyville, Pa. and lived in Sebastian, for the past 27 years.
Franklin served in World War II in the 435th Troop Carrier Group, 78th Combat Crew during the Normandy Invasion in Europe.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Beverly Jane (Evans) Franklin; daughter Beverly Koons, of Vero Beach; sons Harold Franklin (Gail), of Louisville, Ky., and James Thompson Franklin (Kay), of Lexington, S.C.; grandchildren, Stephen, David, Robert, Elizabeth; three great- grandchildren; and brother Calvin Franklin.
He was preceded in death by his father, James T. Franklin Sr., mother Lizzie Po (Dohl) Franklin and brother Fred Franklin.
He was a member of the Irem Temple Shriner’s Motorcycle Corp. and Sylvania Masonic Lodge #354, Shickshinny, Pa.
