SEBASTIAN — Holly Mercuri, a certified permanent make-up specialist and licensed Esthetician, recently visited By the River, the Treasure Coast’s new independent living community for low-income seniors, to treat some of its residents to a day of beauty.
For Holly, who graciously donated her time, it was a beauty marathon, with fourteen women receiving the benefit of her special treat. She gave them mini-facials, masks and a make-over.
“Everyone deserves self-esteem and to feel good about themselves, at any age,” said Mercuri. “This was a lot of fun. The ladies are all so pleasant.”
The ladies at By the River who received her beauty treatments loved this service provided by an artist who works with her hands and her heart, always happy to contribute to her community.
“I loved it; everything about it,” said By the River resident Yvonne Barrette. “It was so relaxing and Holly told us everything she was doing. She even put eye shadow on me!”
Holly Mercuri has trained extensively in the techniques of permanent makeup, skincare, facial cosmetic enhancement and makeup application.
