VERO BEACH — The Heritage Bluegrass Band that performs weekly at the Heritage Center is taking their summer break. The knee-slapping, toe-tapping, good time for the whole family will resume in November.
The Indian River Citrus Museum remains open every Tuesday-Friday, 10 am – 4 pm. No appointment is required for a museum tour and all ages are welcome. Donations are appreciated and you may find a treasure in the Gift Shop.

Tony Martin & The Swingables have two more Big Band Dances of the season on Wednesday, May 4 and Wednesday, June 8. Tickets are $5.

USA Dance will continue year round, on the 3rd Thursday of each month. A professional dance instructor conducts a group class in popular ballroom style beginning at 7 pm with social dancing from 8 to 10 pm. Attire is dressy but not formal. Beginner and single dancers are welcome. Tickets are $8.
For the remainder of 2011 the Thursday dates are May 19, June 16, July 21, August 18, September 15, October 20, November 17, and December 15.
Pilates classes also continue every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:15 to 6:15 pm. Instruction is in West Coast style. Bring your own mat, strap, long towel, and light weights if you have them.

Built in 1935 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Vero Heritage Inc. is a 501(c) 3 organization dedicated to the preservation of the Heritage Center and the Indian River Citrus Museum. The Heritage Center, 2140 14th Ave. Vero Beach, can be rented for weddings, banquets, meetings, and many other events.
