William C. Babuschak, 89, Vero Beach

William C. Babuschak, 89, died April 28, 2011, in Vero Beach.

He was born in Johnstown, Pa., and lived in Florida since 1986, coming from Trenton/Morrisville area of New Jersey. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army.

He was an ironworker and member of the Ironworkers Union Local 68 in Trenton.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Gloria; daughter, Toni; son, William Jr.; sister, Geraldine; brother, Richard; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Committal of ashes will be later at Fountainhead Memorial Park in Palm Bay.

Memorial planned for hiker who died in Colorado

VERO BEACH — The family of a man who died after falling off a mountain in Colorado will have a memorial for him this weekend. Ryan Marcil, 26, and his girlfriend, Carlin Brightwell, 27, both of Aspen, died sometime between Aug. 20 and Aug. 22 after they fell off the Capitol Peak mountain in Colorado, officials said. The two were reported missing Aug. 20 and found dead Aug. 22 by a National Guard helicopter.
