‘Singing Through the Centuries’ comes to Vero Beach High PAC May 13

VERO BEACH — Join the Vero Beach High School Chorus Department as they take you on a musical journey through time singing pieces from all of the eras of music on Friday, May 13, 2011 at 7:30 pm in the VBHS Performing Arts Center.

“Singing Through the Centuries” Choir Concert will include the Vero Beach High School Embassy, Ambassadors and Show Choirs with performances from Mozart to present day and “Bach” again!

Some classical selections will include Joy of Man’s Desiring, Dies Irae from Mozart’s Requiem, Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy” and popular tunes like “What a Wonderful World” for the Jazz Era and “Don’t Stop Believin'” from the hit show Glee. Audience members will also receive a special treat by the “Charming Charlies,” Vero Beach High School’s newest Barbershop Quartet.

This performance is directed by Gregory Harris with Karen Wiggins as accompanist and features over 150 talented young vocalists from VBHS who strive to bring history alive, inspire, entertain and educate.

All seating is Reserved with tickets at $10 for the upper level and $12 for the lower level. To order tickets, please call the Box Office at 772-564-5537. The Box Office is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9 am to 1 pm and 2 hours prior to each performance. Visa and MasterCard are accepted. Checks payable to VBHS. Proceeds benefit the complete education of the students in the School District of Indian River County.
